The Legend of Elyndor : Prologue

 The Legend of Elyndor

The Legend of Elyndor

There was a legend that was rarely shared but well respected in the kingdom of Elyndor, where the land was full of magic and the heavens shimmered with a tapestry of auroras. It told the story of the Ethereal Crystal, a jewel so strong that its user could flex reality itself to suit their needs. The crystal was buried deep within the Forbidden Forest, a region where time stood still and shadows murmured, its whereabouts lost to the passage of time.

The charming village of Thornwick, which is perched on the border of the Forbidden Forest, is where our narrative starts. Elara, a young writer, lived here. Her hair was as dark as a raven's wing, and her eyes like the twilight sky. Elara yearned for an experience beyond the pages of books and spent her days reading over old manuscripts and her evenings staring at the skies.

When the twin moons danced in the sky one fateful evening, a shadowy figure covered in starlight materialized at Elara's door. The stranger told them of a prophecy that said an era of darkness was about to begin and that the only way to survive it was to locate the Ethereal Crystal. The prophecy described a bold and pure-hearted scribe who would overcome the dangers of the Forbidden Forest and bring equilibrium back to Elyndor.

Elara understood that the prophecy mentioned her, her heart thumping like the drums of fate. She filled her satchel with writing supplies like ink and parchment, a blade that belonged to her late father, and a locket that held a single hair strand from her mother. With the world weighing on her narrow shoulders, Elara embarked on her mission as dawn bathed the sky in shades of amber and gold.

The Forbidden Forest towered over her, its towering, gnarled trees reaching upwards with their branches. Voices drifted across the atmosphere, stories of beings that inhabited the space, keepers of the Ethereal Crystal. Every step of Elara's quest would test her bravery and cunning, from the Labyrinth of Echoes to the Puzzle of the Sphinx.

But Elara's search was not an isolated one. She had no idea that a group of strange allies would accompany her on her journey: Aiden, the banished prince with a mysterious ability; Mira, the shapeshifter with a playful side; and Galen, the unyielding warrior with a shadowy past. They would seek the brightness that the Ethereal Crystal promised and battle the darkness that threatened to consume Elyndor together.

The worries that Elara carried within her heart proved to be more of a hurdle than any external dangers she faced as she walked deeper into the jungle. Would she have the fortitude to get past them? Could she confide her darkest secrets to her companions? What about the darkness that began to grow inside of her as a result of the crystal's great power?

The voyage of a lifetime awaited, and Elyndor's fate hung in the balance. Although the journey would be dangerous and the opponents strong, the relationships made along the route would last a lifetime. This was the start of Elara's story—a narrative of magic, camaraderie, and unwavering devotion to one's destiny.
